New York Pop Up Shops

Change is in the air. It is spring, after all!

We have had so many surface and textile designers tell us about new jobs, new lines, new challenges and new approaches. So we are announcing some “newness” of our own.

First, we wanted to modernize what we present for Summer, 2015, from Patricia Nugent Design. We have added over 1000 “new to us” designs to our active archive. They are fresh takes on florals, geos, conversationals and yarn dyes. Some are original paintings and croquis. Some are textile documents. Some are garments. But they are all prepared and ready to show for the design season and summer shows.

Next, this month we will not be at Printsource. The Producers of Printsource decided to put all of their energy into the show on August 12th and 13th at the Metropolitan Pavilion, which is a fabulous venue for the Show. They have a totally new concept for the August Show and I look forward to being a part of it, as I have since 2005.

New for us this year will be our booth at Surtex. It has been a long time since we participated but since so many Designers are creating products closer to market it made sense to add Surtex to our show repertoire. We will be in Booth 1037.

These shows are like our very own Pop-Up Shops in New York City. Customers can see so much design at our Surtex Shop in May. The Shop is on a corner of the “street” closest to the right hand wall as you walk in the main entrance. The big maps will guide you to our address.

Our displays will be bold and fresh! We have had a blast creating large scale – even abstract — designs from our small, antique documents circa 1860-1895. It is such a delight to make antique modern in this way: Big! Bold! Abstract! And Fresh!
