Talent and Experience. Authenticity and Sincerity. On Time and On Trend.
These word combos are music to my ears! Anyone who appreciates them will want to know the person and her business which they describe: Jennifer Diana.

All the way from Fort Lauderdale to Portland, Oregon, Jennifer settled in Portland after studying at the Art Institute and trying life in faster paced cities. The pace of Portland lets her be more relaxed to bring more thoughtfulness to her design and textile services work.
Her walks to work are less rushed than when she lived in New York and free her mind to think creatively before she makes her first espresso each morning.

The most important classes for Jennifer at the Art Institute were computer related. She knew how to draw, sketch and illustrate with pencils and paints. When she learned how to digitize her work and artistically draw on the computer she realized she had more room to try design ideas, make edits and try new techniques than she ever felt comfortable doing by hand.

The speed and technology that Jenifer has cultivated is the driving force behind her business today.

The design staff of 5 to 7 designers at JLD Studio love the lively pace of our business (No kidding, right?) and are known for their quick turns and on time delivery of everything from benchmark trend research, production ready textile and graphic designs, garment designs and sketches, tech packs and patternmaking, to boot. I like to think of them as my personal Portland Design Studio.

Every customer that I have recommended to Jennifer and JLD for service work had their expectations over served. They benefit from the technical skills of the designers and the broad understanding of the textile, apparel and home business. They also benefit from the collaboration inside of JLD Studio. The Designers function as a team.

In fact, Jennifer says that what she loves most about our business is the variety of work customers bring to her. She likes being asked to work in different markets and products. She comments, ”Stepping outside of a comfort zone to design has this amazing return effect which is that we become more creative!” The more her customers challenge them the better designers they become. Truer words have never been spoken!

When visiting Portland, you may meet Jennifer hiking one of the many city parks, enjoying a craft beer at one of the many breweries there or simply taking in the city – at an inspirational pace, of course.
