Pat Nugent, founder and president of Patricia Nugent Design & Textiles, is a fashion and textile trade expert. She brings decades of international experience offering design inspiration for brands of all sizes, in categories including men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, as well as home and gift products.
After starting her career as a designer and pattern maker, Pat became Director of Merchandising and Design for in-house and private-label sportswear and winter active brands. She later served as Vice President of Merchandising and Design at two different firms: Cutter & Buck, a premier line of golf-inspired apparel for men and women, where she also served as Vice President of Production; and Ex Officio, a leader in travel gear and apparel. At both companies she was responsible for trend and market research, design direction and assortment planning.
Pat received a Design Certificate in Fashion at die Modeschule der Stadt Wien in Vienna, Austria, and a B.A. in Textile and Clothing Design at the University of Washington. She is a former Regional Director and board member of The Fashion Group International, a non-profit organization whose mission is to be the pre-eminent authority on the business of fashion and design.
