NEWSLETTER EDITION #147
This month we are sharing some art we love which was created by an artist we love, Shun Lee, who was also known as Barbara Kalinoski.
Born a Gemini in 1937, Shun Lee painted nearly her entire life. On November 7th, at age 88, she passed away leaving thousands of paintings on silk and paper in nearly every genre that stirred her interest or customers asked her to paint. She was feisty and funny but most of all she wanted people to enjoy her art.
Some of these images are art you may have seen since we have worked with Shun Lee since 2014. Most of them are new to us since her entire personal collection is now with us in Seattle. Generously, Shun Lee and her daughter, Vanessa Raven Lee, wanted her collection to be here so we could share it with all of you. We’ll do this from time to time in our newsletter and on our various social media channels. When you come in for appointments, you can see her art in person which means you’ll also feel her art. Full of expression and color, it’s delightful to see in person.
We feel fortunate to have worked with her for over 10 years. We thank her for trusting us with her art.
