NEWSLETTER EDITION #135
It’s delightful when designers choose small fragments from the archive to create large patterns and prints that tell their stories.
Remember that what we do here every day is help designers tell the stories of their brands. Whether they are eponymous brands or not, designers treat their work as such.
Small scale, Persian woodblocks circa 184; delicate, French prints on sheer voile circa 1904; or American, picnic florals circa 1940; it’s our job to offer designers the inspiration they need to be successful.
What brands do you see in these fragments?
Designers whose brands have a romantic element are in luck! Beautiful, fluid colors and gorgeous florals are back! These are a few that came to mind as we worked on a romantic floral package for a customer.
Printed on fleece or sweater knits, silk charmeuse or washed linen they bring us to a more gentle, modern time.
