Prior to the 19th century, wood block printing was the most common method of printing on paper, textiles and wallpaper. This method requires true craftsmanship as each design is hand carved into the block of wood. Pictured above is the book The Fabric of India by Rosemary Crill, this is one of our favorite resources when it comes to block printing. India is well known for their long standing craftsmanship in block printing. We believe that the effect of block printing is beautiful for Fall. In our collection, we have a variety of wonderful examples of block printing.
