Favorite Finds

We are often asked where we find our beautiful antique textiles, trims and paintings.  One source we are happy to share is the weekly Saturday morning market in the village of Sommières, France. Shopping this market, especially in the off season to the high tourist season, allows us to meet the people who gather lovely old things, many as their way of life. With ruffles of lace, crochet, and beautiful old world hand crafts enjoying a renaissance, it is especially fun to see their offerings on these trends. When Tori travels there, she stays in a charming garret overlooking the market which adds to the romance of our work in France. When Pat travels there she prefers a larger space where we can spread out the treasures we find before we ship them home to Seattle.  Our well-traveled favorite finds eventually make their way to shows and customer design appointments all over the US.
